Why Desert Heights?

Student Life

At Desert Heights, student life is about helping students feel connected, confident, and excited to be part of our school community. From kindergarten through high school, students have opportunities to celebrate milestones, build friendships, show school spirit, and create memories beyond the classroom.

Our events are designed with each age group in mind, giving students meaningful experiences that support relationships, leadership, creativity, and community pride.

A Connected K–12 Community

One of the unique parts of Desert Heights is that students grow within a connected K–12 school community. Across both campuses, students have opportunities to participate in events, celebrations, traditions, and activities that build school spirit and help them feel connected to the Coyote community.

K–4 Student Life

Our K–4 students enjoy age-appropriate events and activities that help make school fun, welcoming, and memorable. These may include recognition ceremonies, family events, spirit days, field trips, classroom celebrations, and campus-wide activities throughout the year.

5th–8th Student Life

Middle school students begin to experience more opportunities for independence, connection, and involvement. Student life may include socials, spirit days, field trips, academic events, performances, athletics, clubs, and campus activities designed for this important transition stage.

High School Student Life

High school students have opportunities to participate in events and traditions that build community, leadership, and school pride. Student life may include dances, spirit weeks, athletics, clubs, fine arts, field trips, academic celebrations, and senior-year experiences.
