Clubs & Activities

At Desert Heights, learning extends beyond the classroom. Students have opportunities to explore their interests, develop leadership skills, build friendships, and discover new passions through clubs, activities, fine arts, and student organizations.

Whether participating in an elementary enrichment club, performing on stage, serving in an honor society, or representing the school through dance and leadership programs, students are encouraged to get involved and make the most of their school experience.

Afterschool Clubs & Activities (Kinder-5th grade) 

Our elementary students have opportunities to participate in age-appropriate clubs and enrichment activities designed to encourage creativity, curiosity, and fun. Club offerings may vary throughout the year and are designed to help students explore new interests in a supportive environment.

National Honor Society

Desert Heights recognizes students who demonstrate excellence in academics, leadership, character, and service through a variety of honor society opportunities.

Programs may include:

• National Junior Honor Society (NJHS)
• National Honor Society (NHS)
• National Art Honor Society (NAHS) 
• National Spanish Honor Society (SHH) 

These organizations encourage students to serve their community, develop leadership skills, and pursue academic excellence.

Student Council

Student Government gives students the opportunity to develop leadership skills, serve their school community, and help shape campus culture. Members collaborate on school events, spirit activities, service projects, and initiatives that promote student engagement and school pride.

Competitive Dance Team

Throughout the school year Dance Team attends and competes at dance conventions.  They learn a variety of dance styles while also developing the skills to work as a team.  Dance team also performs at many school functions including pep assemblies and dance shows.  If you love to dance, this team’s for you!

Drama/Musical Performances

Through theater and performing arts opportunities, students can explore creativity, self-expression, and collaboration. Students gain valuable experience both on stage and behind the scenes while participating in productions that showcase their talents and hard work.

Desert Heights Preparatory Academy welcomes more clubs to be added, and encourages students to initate clubs within their peers with teacher support!
