English Language Learners (EL)

Move On When Reading (MOWR)

Special Education

Title I

Title I funds are provided to Desert Heights Charter School by the federal government to assist students in the general education classroom who may need supplemental support to meet Arizona’s academic standards. Learn more...

Transportation

Desert Heights provides a limited bus route along with intercampus morning and afternoon transportation. Families can complete a transportation agreement and pick one of the routes best for them. The Prep campus (5th-12th) has 2 after school pick up options to support tutoring and clubs. Learn more...

Food & Nutrition

Desert Heights utilizes AZ School Meals as the breakfast and lunch caterer for all grade levels.

AZ School Meals began operating in 1995.  The company founders saw a need to improve the nutritional quality of meals for children in care centers, preschools, and charter schools.  The mission was to develop nutritious and good tasting homemade meals that children would enjoy.  It is important to include wholesome foods as well as culturally diverse foods in the menus.  They strive to provide students with the opportunity to try new things as well as enjoy traditional family favorites. Learn more...
