About Us

Welcome to Desert Heights, a K–12 learning community where students are known, supported, and challenged to reach their full potential. Beginning with our preschool program and continuing through high school graduation, we provide a safe, engaging, and student-centered educational experience that prepares students for success in school and in life.

Our preschool program offers a nurturing and developmentally appropriate environment where young learners build the foundational social, emotional, and academic skills needed for future success. Through hands-on learning, exploration, and play-based experiences, students develop confidence, curiosity, and a love of learning as they prepare for kindergarten.

At Desert Heights Charter School (K–5), we focus on building a strong academic foundation while fostering character, leadership, and a love of learning. Our dedicated staff partners closely with families to create a welcoming environment where students feel connected, supported, and encouraged to grow. Through programs such as HOWL, extracurricular activities, and family events, students develop the confidence and skills needed for a successful transition to middle school and beyond.

As students continue their educational journey at Desert Heights Preparatory Academy (6–12), they are provided with opportunities to explore their interests, challenge themselves academically, and prepare for college, careers, and future success. Students can participate in honors courses, dual enrollment opportunities, athletics, fine arts, clubs, student leadership, honor societies, and a variety of extracurricular programs that support the development of well-rounded individuals.

Guided by our Three Pillars—Academic Excellence, Integrity of Character, and Social Awareness—our K–12 program is designed to help students discover their strengths, build meaningful relationships, and become responsible leaders within their school and community. By combining rigorous academics with opportunities for involvement and personal growth, Desert Heights prepares students not only for graduation, but for success beyond the classroom.
