Office Closure

Office Closure

Dear Desert Heights Families,

As many of you know, Juneteenth is an annual holiday that commemorates the end of slavery in the United States. It marks the day, June 19, in 1865 when Union soldiers shared the news that the Civil War had ended, and slavery was abolished.

As an educational community committed to equity and justice, we take this opportunity to celebrate the freedom of all people and remind ourselves of the work that lies ahead. Since the official holiday, June 19th, lands on a Saturday in 2020, Desert Heights will observe the holiday on Monday, June 21st, 2021, and the offices will be closed, and summer school will not take place.

Please note that DHPA Athletic Summer Camps will still take place on Monday, June 21st during the scheduled times.

Thank you for your partnership and support.
