Update from Desert Heights Administration

Update from Desert Heights Administration

Our administration would like to provide a quick update to the community. Due to the circumstances, and our school being closed for close contact and quarantine, we are not able to open classrooms for essential population at this time. However, if we are unable to return to Phase 3 on November 30th due to the state/county metrics, staffing, or status of the community at that time, we will be offering an on-campus option to the essential population and at-risk population. The essential population consists of those scholars that were already defined as essential at the start of this year while we were in Phase 1. The at-risk population will be directly contacted by the grade level administrator and given information on what options are being presented until we are able to return to Phase 3.

We are so thankful that everyone in our community has continued to take this seriously throughout the school year. Please continue to inform us of potential exposures or positive cases in your family so that we are best equipped to make sound decisions for the safety of our community. Administration will be communicating details about the direction of the school for November 30th on Tuesday November 17th at 1:00pm.

On behalf of our administration and teaching staff, thank you for your understanding, flexibility, partnership, and support. We all cannot wait to put this behind us, but until then, we are committed to our community and will continue to do our absolute best to support our kids.

If you have any questions or concerns, please reach out directly to me and we can support you and your family!
